A boutique studio by design.
More approachable than an agency, with the same level of craft. Studio N-W is a creative studio specializing in brand strategy, identity design, and photography.
We partner with people and companies seeking to make a difference, uncovering what makes their brand distinct and build the visual world around it.
Nicole is a creative director, art director, and photographer with 20 years of experience building brands across sport, culture, and lifestyle. Past projects include Wilson Sporting Goods, Kith, the US Open, Roland Garros, and the Grammy Museum. A few years ago she left corporate work to start Studio N-W, bringing that experience to founders building something of their own. The studio exists for people who are serious about their brand and want one trusted person to sharpen the vision.
The Process
The Process
Every project starts with a chat. This is where you talk about the business, who you serve, why you do it, and where you want it to go. Timeline markers get named here too, so the work lands when you need it.
1 / Discovery
You get a written proposal covering scope, deliverables, timeline, and cost. Once it is signed and the deposit is in, the project has a start date.
2 / Proposal
3 / Kick-off
We meet for you to share vision, goals, audience, the things you know about your business that should be amplified. This is the part that separates a brand built for you from a brand that could belong to anyone.
Everything from those conversations turns into a presentation: mood boards, positioning, tone of voice, purpose, and vision. You see the thinking before you see a single design. When the direction is right, design begins.
4 / Direction
Three to five creative directions come next, presented in the same deck so they sit on top of the strategy you already approved. Usually one or two stand out. From there, refinement narrows to a single direction, with one round of revisions built in and a second if the work calls for it.
5 / Design
Final files arrive as a package: a brand guidelines PDF and the design files your scope covers. If photography is part of the project, the shoot is planned around the applications the brand needs. A few weeks later, expect a check-in to see how it is holding up in the wild.

Reach out through the contact form with a few sentences about your business and what you are looking for. From there we set up a call to talk through your goals, your timeline, and what the project needs.
After that call you get a proposal covering scope, deliverables, and cost. Once it is signed and the deposit is in, the work has a start date.

Decades in global corporate work built the instinct for looking at a project from every angle. The question is never just how something lands tomorrow. It is whether it still holds up in five years.
That is why discovery, strategy, and research come first. A brand built on a real foundation can grow and change without falling apart, and your investment gets treated like it belongs to the studio.
It also means being honest about scope. Not every brand needs a website. Not every brand needs business cards. The work covers what your business actually needs.
And it holds together across everything. Print, digital, apparel, photography. Twenty years of doing this makes creating that cohesion second nature.

Expect real conversations about your business. The first call goes deep on your business, who you serve, and where you want to go, because everything else gets built on that.
You see the thinking before you see the design. Strategy and positioning come first, so by the time design shows up, the direction is already agreed on.
Twenty years of corporate budgets built a clear sense of what moves the needle and what just looks good in a deck. Expect an honest opinion about where your money is best spent, including when the answer is that you need less than you thought.
